WDNT Try-Out Information
by LLindsey posted 02/17/2010

Coaches and individuals interested in being a selector for the Women's Division National Tournament Team should complete the attached online form:

National Tournament Selection Committee - Member Application

WDNT Try-Out Information
:
Tryouts are only one day this year, March 27th.  Right now,  two sessions are planned: 8:30am-12pm and 3:30pm-6:30pm at Mountain View Park.
Players must be at both sessions to be considered.

Try-out Volunteers:
In addition to the selectors, there is also a need for volunteers that would be willing to run stations so the selectors can just focus on selecting the girls.  However, parents of current players participating in tryouts are not allowed to be on the field during this time.

If you have questions regarding the try-out process, or have interest in volunteering at the stations, please contact Jessica Livingston or Tyna Murphy .

SouthWest RoundUp - A Success!
by LLindsey posted 02/09/2010

The Southwest RoundUp (SWR) Tournament was held last weekend, Feb 5-6-7.  Events started with competitive activities and prizes on Friday night, followed by seventeen teams, primarily from the AGLA league and one from New Mexico, competing all day Saturday and through 12 noon on Sunday (game results reported below).  By some miracle, after rain deluged the valley Saturday night, we continued to have beautiful weather all weekend for game times..it was perfect lacrosse weather! Check out a few pictures of the event under the Pictures tab!

Special thanks are due to Adrainne and Drew Wagner, the 2010 SWR Committee Chairs (Adrianne is head coach at PCDS). With a small planning committee, they put together a great event at a new venue.  It was exciting to see the sight from the parking lot area...nearly 400 players with their coaches, parents, friends and fans scattered all over the park, on multiple fields, watching lacrosse.  As with any project worth doing, they encountered their fair share of obstacles in pulling it together, and through their creative efforts, the outcome was fabulous.  An overall great way to kick off the AGLA season!!  Thank you for your hard work in pulling this together!!!

They in turn extend their thanks to the following teams and individuals for their contributions to the event..these individuals and/or teams gave their time, skills and/or donated equipment to ensure the event was successful (apologies if anyone is inadvertantly not listed):

Horizon:     Carol Harder, Cathie Warshawsky, Julie Martin, Chuck Harder
